In 2016, GJT chose not to close its main runway for several days. Lochner (formerly Armstrong Engineering) partnered with ASI to design a nighttime project with 6-hour contractor working windows — the first nighttime pavement preservation seal coat in U.S. aviation.

The treatment performed well for 5 years. GJT retreated with P-608-R / GSB-78 ® in fall 2021.
